The Top 4 Trends We Saw at Art Basel This Year
Art Basel is one of the world's premier art fairs, and it did not disappoint this year. Our studio visited the fair and we were blown away by the range of talent and creativity on display. From installations made of bold, modern materials to mixed media pieces that combined tulle, resin, glass, and oil, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Here are some of the highlights from the fair.
1. Installations. One trend we noticed at the fair was a focus on installations. These were bold, impressive pieces made from a variety of materials, including modern resin and paintings made from rose thorns.
2. Pictures from fabric, quilling, pictures from jute and other materials. Another trend we noticed was an focus on pictures made from unconventional materials, such as fabric, quilling, and jute.
3. Bold Abstract. A third trend we noticed was a focus on Bold Abstract paintings inspired by Matisse and other classics. These were graffiti-style abstractions that were sure to catch your eye.
4. Mix media. The fourth and final trend we noticed was a focus on mix media pieces that combined tulle, resin, and other materials with glass and oil. This was a popular choice among modern artists who wanted to create something truly unique.
Overall, we were very impressed with the level of talent and creativity on display at Art Basel. If you have the chance to visit the fair next year, we highly recommend it!
