Today we wanted to show you how to create a beautiful retro poster background. Gradients have become very popular, you can use them in branding, create cool posters, use them to make photos look like old film. In this short tutorial, we will learn in a few steps how to create gradient backgrounds using Adobe Illustrator and the Mesh tool.

Create a new file, I used a small area of 1024x768 pixels. You can set your own size.
2. Use the Rectangle Tool to create a rectangle for the entire artboard. Fill area.
Tip 1:
You can create any shape and make an abstract gradient object.
3. Select the Mesh Tool. Add key points. Use the Direct Selection tool to select points.
4. Select points and assign colors to them.
Try to get creative and move the dots, make sure they don't create artifacts.
